









Jin Young Ko won the ANA Inspiration by three shots over Mi Hyang Lee. This was Jin Young Ko’s first major championship title.
The best part of the ANA is the celebration where the winner leaps into Poppie’s Pond.

The ANA Inspiration used to be called the Kraft Nabisco Championship, and before that it was the Dinah Shore Classic. Back in 1988, Amy Alcott was the first to do the celebratory leap into Poppie’s Pond, when during the final round on a very hot day she told her caddie that if she won she was going to jump in the pond. She won it again in 1991, this time along with Dinah Shore. In 1994 Donna Andrews won the event and made the leap and it’s been the tradition ever since.
