Jonas Blixt and Cameron Smith Win Zurich Classic in Playoff

For the first time in 35 years the PGA Tour had an official event where players played in teams.  Cameron Smith and Jonas Blixt won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans in a playoff over Kevin Kisner and Scott Brown.

Rounds 1 & 3 had the teams playing alternate shot, and for rounds 2 & 4 they played better ball.

2018 Masters Ticket Lottery Is Open

I received an e-mail from the Masters today, letting me know that I can apply for practice round and tournament tickets for the 2018 Masters.

2018 Masters Tickets

The Masters Tournament is pleased to announce that the 2018 ticket application for Practice Rounds and Daily Tournament tickets is now available at Masters.com.  These tickets will be awarded by random selection after the designated deadline date.

As in the past, only one application per person or address will be accepted (one per household) and all applicants must be 21 years or older.

To complete the 2018 Masters ticket application click on the link below, enter your email address and password and click the “Sign In” button.  If you have forgotten your password, click on the link “Forgot your password?”

If your email address or home address has changed, do not create a new account.  You may edit your information once you are logged in or you may contact the Ticket Office for assistance.

Two Weeks, Two First-Time Winners

The last two weeks on the PGA Tour have each seen first-time winners. Last week it was Wesley Bryan at the RBC Heritage at Harbor Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island, and this week it was Kevin Chappell at the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio.

It took Chappell 180 events to get his first win.
