According to PGATour.com, Tiger Woods has confirmed his return to the PGA Tour by committing to play in the season opening Safeway Open, October 10-16 at Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa, California.

Tiger has missed the 2015-16 season after undergoing microdiscectomy surgery, and has not played a tournament since the Wyndham Championship in August 2015.
