The 2017 Solheim Cup is about to start in Iowa, so here are the Power Rankings for the two teams.

The table below has all of the players on each team. Each player has their current power index number followed by their power ranking position in parentheses, as of August 13.

Based on the most recent results, it looks like the U.S. should have the edge.

Brooks Koepka overpowered Erin Hills golf course and winning the 2017 U.S. Open. Koepka started the day one-shot back, but had 6-birdies in a final round 67 to win by 4 over Hideki Matsuyama and Brian Harman.

Canada’s Brooke Henderson wins the Meijer LPGA Classic over Michelle Wie and Lexi Thompson.

Justin Thomas shot the lowest round with respect to par in the history of the U.S. Open with a 9-under 63 in the third round.

Johnny Miller’s 63 at Oakmont was 8-under.

Kevin Kisner shot a final round 66 to get to -10 and win the Colonial by a shot over Jordan Spieth, Jon Rahm and Sean O’Hair.

The win moved Kisner up to 21 (from 105) in our Power Rankings. With his tie for 2nd, Jon Rahm moved up to 4th in our rankings.

Si Woo Kim displayed an incredible short game, making par save after par save to have a bogey free final round 69, to win the Players Championship by 3 shots over Louis Oosthuizen and Ian Poulter.

With the win, Kim moved up 1703 spots to the 94th spot in our Power Rankings.

For the first time in 35 years the PGA Tour had an official event where players played in teams.  Cameron Smith and Jonas Blixt won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans in a playoff over Kevin Kisner and Scott Brown.

Rounds 1 & 3 had the teams playing alternate shot, and for rounds 2 & 4 they played better ball.
