As per usual, this one showed up in my e-mail inbox today from the Golf Channel, with Sir Nick Faldo giving some pitching tips. Some good ideas for those who struggle with the shorter shots.
Ollie Schniederjans Putts Ball Into Water
I have putted right off a green before, but I don’t remember ever losing a ball on a putt which is what happened to Ollie Schniederjans in the first round of the Waste Management Phoenix Open.

In Schniederjans defense, it was an extremely difficult putt.

Tiger was back on the PGA Tour, for the first time in a year, playing at Torrey Pines. Tiger played the more difficult South Course, and shot an even par 72. Tony Finau leads the tournament after the first round with a 7-under score on the North Course.

PGA Tour Fantasy Golf League
Since Yahoo isn’t doing Fantasy Golf anymore, I guess this will have to do. Feel free to sign up.
No Yahoo Fantasy Golf for 2018
I noticed today that the home page for Yahoo Fantasy Golf had been updated to announce that there will be no fantasy golf game for 2018. My guess is this might be the end of Yahoo Fantasy Golf.
The only hope we have is, they made the same type of announcement a couple of years ago and then about a week later changed their mind and opened it up again.
Dude Perfect Golf Battle
Dude Perfect is a group of trick shot artists and they decided to try and play golf using sports equipment from other sports (think Tin Cup when Kevin Costner played the game with a shovel, baseball bat and a rake). Once you use an item you can’t use it again until you’ve used all of your items, and then you have to use them all in the same order again.
This looks like it would be a blast to try, but also it would likely take all day to finish a round. Mercifully they played only at par 5, and then two par 3s of sudden death.
