Jimmy Fallon is all about the golf. He recently did his “Superlatives” about PGA Tour players, and then he had Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy on the Tonight Show where they took part in a chipping game called “Facebreakers” (okay, Tiger didn’t play but he did try to offer advice to Jimmy). “Facebreakers” is a cooler version of the Big Break’s glass breaking challenge.
Jimmy Fallon took it to some PGA Tour players with some of his “Superlatives”.
Some were better than others.
#2 at Lowville
Lowville Golf Club is a great little course just outside of Burlington Ontario. The course goes up and down the Niagara Escarpment, making for some great views and also a good walk.
The par 5s are all uphill holes. None of them are overly long as far as actual yardage, but they all play a decent length.
#9 at Lowville
Conversely, some of the par 4s play downhill, so they play shorter than their yardage, but you get to feel good about yourself because your drives seem to go forever down the escarpment. Continue reading

Their “thumbs up” swing tip is one of my go-to swing thoughts to help hit straighter shots.
School of Golf’s Martin and Holly share some practice techniques that have helped professional golfers such as Nick Faldo, Vijay Singh, and Jose Maria Olazabal.
In the show on Wednesday they did a couple of other tips.
Rory McIlroy won the 2014 British Open at Royal Liverpool. He built a big lead over the first three days, and then held off final-round charges by Sergio Garcia and Rickie Fowler to win by a couple of shots.

A few weeks ago my friend Henry wrote a great Facebook Status about the Stages of Golf to which I think every golfer can relate.
The other day I was trying to find a good tip or something funny online and stumbled upon a somewhat similar article written for the New Yorker by Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm creator Larry David. I think if you ever watch Curb you can visualize Larry acting out every one of his stages with his pseudo-grin on his face as he yells and curses. This article could be a great episode of Curb.

I am calling it now. Mo Martin’s approach shot on the 72nd hole is the shot of the year in golf. It was the perfect shot at the perfect time, and with the shot she won the 2014 Ricoh Women’s British Open.
