No Masters Tournament Tickets for 2017 for Me

Looks like no tickets to the 2017 Masters Tournament for me.  I received this e-mail this morning letting me know that my name was not chosen in the ticket lottery:

I can only hope to be selected for some practice round tickets.

Not a Parody – One Week in April So Bad It’s Terrible

This is an ad that has been running on the GolfChannel all day today (throughout the Drive, Putt & Chip and the LPGA ANA Inspiration) and it is so bad that it’s terrible.  Poor Mike Stone, he must be putting up his own money to buy these ads, and this cd comes across like it should be a Saturday Night Live parody commercial.

Here is the ad.

I love the Masters, but anyone who likes the Masters should not be buying that song (sorry Mike).  If you must get the song you can find it on iTunes.

If you really like the Masters, this is the only song that matters:

2016 Drive, Chip & Putt

In what has quickly become a great kickoff to the Masters Tournament, today was the Drive, Chip & Putt National Finals at Augusta National.  Getting up on Sunday morning and watching these kids on the Golf Channel is so much fun, and I can only imagine that it is a dream come true for these kids and their families.

Here are the winners from 2016

Division Winner Points (D-C-P)
Boys 7-9  Stephen Robert Hernandez 25 (10-10-5)
Girls 7-9  Emerson Blair 24 (9-5-10)
Boys 10-11 Christian Kim 26 (9-9-8)
Girls 10-11 Alexa Pano 26 (10-9-7)
Boys 12-13 Ty Griggs 28 (10-9-9)
Girls 12-13 Kayla Sam 26 (10-9-7)
Boys 14-15  Michael Thorbjornsen 23 (9-10-4)
Girls 14-15 Alyssa Montgomery 26.5 (9-7.5-10)

Last year it appeared that chipping and putting were the keys to winning, but this year it seems all of the winners were strong drivers too.  Here are the winners from 2015.
